How to install Invition Print & Ship on your WordPress
This guide explains you how to install the Invition Print & Ship plugin in your WooCommerce shop. It’s not that hard! Just follow the instructions below and if anything doesn’t work out, just contact us on the bottom of the page for support.
If we want to get the plugin up and running, there are a few things we need:
WordPress version 4.9 or higher
PHP version 7.1 or higher
WooCommerce version 3.4 or higher
ImageMagick (Imagick) *Optional
It might just work with a lower version, but this hasn’t been tested.
Step 1 – Install WooCommerce
First of all, install WooCommerce on your WordPress (if not installed already).
- Go to Plugins
- Click the ‘Add new’-button
- Search in the search-field for WooCommerce
- Click install and follow the instructions from WooCommerce
Step 2 – Install ImageMagick extension on your server (Optional)
The software can automatically check the dimensions of your uploaded design. To make this work, you need the PHP Extension Imagick, also known as Image Magick. Please note that this is not a WordPress plugin, it is a PHP Extension that has to be installed on your server. Please contact your webhost if you need any help with this.
It is possible to run the plugin without Imagick. In that case, the software won’t check your uploaded file dimensions.
Step 3 – Install Invition Print & Ship
- Go to Plugins
- Add new
- Upload plugin
- Upload and install the ZIP package
Are you updating from an older version of the plugin? Please deactivate and delete the full plugin first and then install like above. Your settings and products will not be deleted.

- Place order on which status
On what order status should the order be sent to Invition? Usually this is ‘Processing’, when the payment is received, but you can change this for your own needs.
- Show image upload on product page
When this is set to yes and the product is set to ‘Customer uploads the print file’, an upload function will be displayed on the product page. You can disable this and show the upload field on a different location by using the shortcode displayed.
Settings for variable products

When checked, new models will be added to your store automatically.
- Automatically add new case types to variable products

- Automatically update prices when Invition changes suggested retail price
Should we change your product price when we change our suggested retail price? (when you uncheck this, you have to change the price for every product variation manually!).
Should we enable newly generated variations automatically?
